Soltara exists to rectify the lack of body literacy among childbearing women in the US through comprehensive fertility, prenatal, and postpartum education as well as hands on labor and delivery support. We teach women how their bodies are designed to function and empower them to optimize their pregnancy and childbirth experiences through informed lifestyle choices.

About

Tara founded Soltara in 2024.

After a decade of serving Raleigh, NC as a Birth Doula and Fertility Educator she saw a need for more comprehensive care for the entire childbearing year, not just the act of giving birth. Most  women are woefully ignorant of their own bodies and are turning to reproductive assistance more frequently.  Fetal malpositioning and stalled labor are increasingly common problems,  c-section rates are on the rise, and core and pelvic floor dysfunction are endemic.  Tara created Soltara to adress the underlying cause of all of these issues: lack of knowledge about how our own bodies function.

Soltara provides the support women want, and the knowledge they deserve.

Core Values

Reproductive education is the right of all women.

From menarche to menapause all women should have access to comprehensive education about their menstural cycle, hormones, and anatomy.

Bodies are made to move.

No matter the shape or size, all bodies were made to move often in a wide variety of ways.

Birth is normal.

Birth is primarily a physiological process, not a medical procedure.

Your experience matters.

Of course healthy moms and babies are important, but so is the mother's experience. Every woman should be made to feel safe, confident, and have her autonomy respected.

Common does not equal normal.

Much of what we expect or think of as normal is simply what has become common.  Infertility is common. Aches and pains during pregnancy are common. Peeing when you sneeze is common. None of these are normal.
